A year before the Air Jordan 1 (much less Air Jordan 2011) and a quarter-century before the Nike Zoom Kobe VII System, adidas introduced the ‘peg system’ cushioning platform on a variety of its 1984 releases. Models like the LA Trainer and Kegler Super featured removable pegs that allow the wearer to switch them around for optimal comfort, and now the last model from ’84’s ‘three pegs-keteers’ is finally ready for a proper retro treatment. The adidas Originals G.S. OG lowtop and ST Mids bring us back to the mid-’80s with a couple of pristine white leather builds, their respective gold and silver stripes a reminder of the originals’ role in the Los Angeles Olympiad. Click through to see more of both pairs and grab yours at select Three Stripes stockists like Packer Shoes.
