Movie ticket prices have risen to a point where making a hundred million dollars means you had a good weekend, so while raking in $124MM worldwide on a budget less than half that is a sweeping success in any business, Coraline didn’t break any records with its 2009 release. The Laika-produced film was favorably reviewed by critics and even if a hundred and one minutes of eye candy starring a curious young girl isn’t your cup of tea, the Henry Selick flick will resonate with sneakerheads for some time, as the special edition Dunk High released in limited numbers in conjunction with the box office debut remain a premium item on the resale market and one photo of its buttoned build stands alone at number 1 in Google Images’ results for the word “sneaker”.

Following up on all of that won’t be easy, so luckily, the latest effort from the Phil Knight-founded film house can call upon not only a gifted title character, but also what’s arguably the most coveted silhouette in the sneaker game today. The ‘ParaNorman’ Nike Air Foamposite One is limited to 800 pairs and won’t be sold in stores, but instead, given away to Twitter followers who best personify the hashtag #WeirdWins in their photo submissions. There’s still time to rummage through your old photo albums to find a suitable shot to send in, and in any case, don’t be camera shy because we have some dope new shots of the ‘Paranorman’ Foamposites’ smokey neon soles after the jump below.
