A few weeks ago, new ground was broken in the sneaker community when Dwyane Wade wore a pair of the Li-Ning Way of Wade created by Mache Customs. We noted the significance of that event as the opening of the door to more NBA on-feet customs, and it looks like there was one this past weekend when New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert wore this nice adidas Real Deal custom designed by Jason Negron aka Sole Swap. Classic Knicks colorways never fail in getting our attention, but when it’s a pair of customs, it’s always worth a second look. Check out a full shot of Iman’s customs below as well as some in-game shots and stay tuned for more potential custom kicks on NBA Feet!
What i remember the most about the original white on black release was how beautiful the 3 stripe white teardrop looked like from afar. It was as striking as the black leather mudguard of the Jordan 11 concords. With the new colorways, the most distinctive feature of the shoe, the 3 stripe teardrop pattern was drowned out. Whats idiotic about adidas (unlike nike) is that they never re-release their classics in the same colors as the originals. Its practically never the same shoes.
