Nike Sportswear gets closer to completing the reissuance of Penny Hardaway’s NBA footwear legacy with the return of this 1994 style he shared in common with Scottie Pippen. The Nike Air Up sports a quintessentially early-mid ’90s look, this pre-Uptempo style maximizing the by then well established Air bubble look with a brash high contrast wavyness that foreshadowed the coming Air Penny line. A 20th anniversary Air Up retro will be the first, and while Pip and Penny PEs aren’t included, both Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic colorways make an appearance here today. Check out both after the jump and as always, stick with Sneaker News for the latest.

Yea they are not like the originals. The Stripes were Nubuck and real leather. But the change maybe a good thing because with the Nubuck when I played Basketball in them in 94 95...it took 2 months for me to put in a hole in the front due to the Nubuck not holding up. So for shoe collectors its a Big change but for Ball players it may be a great change. I am both. So Im torn. I am just glad they are bring the shoe back. THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SHOE. Orlando Color way. I wonder will it have the one cent symbol in the air bubble behind the ankle as it did before?
FINALLY ......when I seen the way ups get retroed before these , I had lost hope of ever getting my hands on the Air Up , been a favorite of mine since #1 had these on when he Put Ewings neck ! Classic Play, Classic Dunk, Classic Shoe , looking at the date hoping its not tied in to an all Star super limited pack tho
Thanks Nike for finally listening! This brings me back to when I played on my 8th grade squad and I was the only player rocking these and pissed my coach off! It wasnt my fault our school colors were green and white and i was rocking the orlando colorway...What more can I say, these were fresh!!!
