Original article posted May 12th, 2024: Nike SB has never shied away from taking cues from the Nike mainline. Take the Nike Dunk Low, originally envisioned as a basketball shoe but retooled and folded into the umbrella after skaters took to the shoe on their own. The Nike SB Force 58, introduced back in 2022, uses the Air Force 1 as a jumping off point in its hardware, but carves out a lane of its own with its latest “Dusty Cactus” colorway.

Like other silhouettes in the Nike SB catalog, the Force 58 aims at being as lightweight as possible, leaning on canvas construction with suede swatches only at potential wear points. In this colorway, those suede overlays utilize the trademark “Dusty Cactus’ teal, bringing a lot of energy to an overall palette that diverges greatly from that vivid hue. To that point, the multiple Swooshes throughout the profile dress in “Pecan,” the underlying canvas goes in an off-white direction, and a classic gum sole lands below. With Nike SB always prioritizing bang for your buck, the Force 58 is a great addition to that, and this edition presents a way to bring some summer-ready verve to your closet.

The Nike SB Force 58 is expected to materialize in the coming weeks with its typical $85 price point.

Shifting to basketball shoes coming out of Beaverton, the Jordan Release Dates 2024 calendar heats up with the Air Jordan 11 Low “Space Jam.”
