You’ve got to be a real big fan of Despicable Me to look at the Air Jordan 5 “Laney” release and see it as something more than a tribute to Michael Jordan’s high school alma mater. That’s what one custom of Sekure D did-noticing the overlap between those tones and those from the beloved minion characters. And so Sekure went to work, outfitting the shoe with all sorts of little callouts to those strange creatures. Continue reading to see the complete gallery on the “Minion” Air Jordan customs and then get in touch with Sekure D for inquiries.
this is the reason why lines are long and nobody rrally wanting the shoes or they putting cartoons on it. the people that made the comment and jb dont care..its because of the who cares attitudes. if the customers demanded for qulaity and wouldnt deface the jordans and say them sweet because no on has a voice..I respect the creativity. just like my opinion should be. you take the Laney 5s and do this but theres some uglier jordans that you could have made sweet. I have made customs that were thought to be hot until I finished them and im saying these are not to there full potential.
they could use a bit of cleaning up around the toe, other then that they ok i guess. laces should be roped not flat.
I like them,i think they would look better if the white tip was either that blue or black. The white throws it off
nope..nice try though. this goes to show you that people dont respect the shoe game no more. Whats the history behind the Laney story? Im sure not very many people in lines know..Why would you deface the shoe to put a cartoon on it? If I was JB..I would use sub par materials on shoes and jack the price up too. No disrespect to the custom community. its some people getting bread doing these. Just speaking my mind. thats all
@vryobservant shut youir sorry ass up. laneys are weak compared to these. to plain . fuck laney high school too I nevere went there. that's why people like me appreciate it when an artist takes plain as shoes and makes them raw. if I showed these to 100 people they would all remember the dispicle me shoe... not those ugly yellow and blue things you call lanes
@vryobservant I agree cartoons don't belong on shoes. but I would wear these 1000 times.
@vryobservant who the fuck cares about history of a damn shoes
@vryobservant Do you honestly think JB makes re-retros the shoes, good quality or not, with the intent to storytell? JB gives no fucks, and the consumer give none either.
@TrueHypebeast probably not...mad posers, hypebeast and then u have the fags that run the show...jordans been dead =(
Its true laneys are plain as shit these shoes are way better and I would rather buy shoes that get notices more than shoes that get a glance at every now and then
@vryobservant look up theextra grapes I had those done . took the grapes and made them cali style all purple.
