2012 was a huge year for sneaker customization as it finally got the spotlight customizers so desperately craved. A lot of that could be contributed to the creative thought process of combining multiple exotic leathers atop one model, as PMK Customs did with his Air Jordan 1 “Brooklyn Zoo”. Combining python, ostrich, stingray, elephant, crocodile, alligator and more materials, just ten of these custom Air Jordan 1s released at LeBron’s own UNKNWN in Miami. Jay-Z was quick to pick up a pair only adding to the buzz surrounding the release. With black, grey, and red all coming together to showcase the height of retooling a classic retro, we couldn’t think of a better name than Brooklyn Zoo considering all of the materials used, and they’re available for purchase today. Be sure to continue onward for more images of this legendary Air Jordan 1 custom and grab the pair via jonallon80 on eBay.
