Asics GT II Tweed Pack

Few companies understand that runners keep going in cold weather better than Asics.  Since you won’t actually be running in this retro model, it’s best that they at least look warm. Woolen panels give the Asics GT-IITweed Pack a rustic look, with one pair adding green and purple to a black/grey base and another opting for a slightly Halloweeny colour palette.  Both are available today from TheGoodWillOut.

Highsnobiety x Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Sneak Peek

A few weeks back, we saw the release of the Nice Kicks x Asics Gel Lyte III in a rich blend of Red materials, but that’s not the only blog collaboration in the works for Asics. We already saw their Culture Shoq Gel Lyte III back in late July, and now we get a look at the third installment of the pack, the High Snobiety edition. It appears that the shoe sports a combination of grey patent leather and perforated blue suede. These are scheduled for release next month, so you can expect some more pics and info in the near future.

Asics Directional Level September 2009 Releases

Asics’ Directional Level premium collection was unveiled two weeks ago and the first two drops are already about to hit retailers.  The Chinese Tiger is starting things off with two ’secondary’ releases, passing over the omnipresent Gel-Lyte III in favour of a Gel-Lyte Speed and one GT-II.  The former has the same split tongue as the GLIII and we’ve rarely seen it as sharp as this black, green and purple colourway that’s perfect for Halloween.  The GT-IIs go with vivid shades of purple and blue leather atop a white base, all blended together with a grey heelcup and midsole speckling.  Via Endorsed.

Asics Holiday 2009 Footwear Collection

Gel Lyte IIIs aren’t all Asics has to offer.  They’re putting a little animal intensity into that assertion, adding all kinds of wild elements to their Holiday 2009 collection.  Fans of the GL3 needn’t worry as the flagship retro runner is back in two mostly tonal editions, the most subdued of the entire lot.  There’s a Safari Pack that includes the Procourt Boots, Courtrebel MT and Fraser pictured above.  The Classic Pattern Pack is made up of two Procourt ARs and distinguished by its argyle ankle straps.  Take a look at all of these and a few others including some bright GT-2 runners after the jump.  via HS

Asics Directional Level New Premium Tier

Nike has Quickstrikes, Hyperstrikes, Tier Zero releases and the like, Vans has their Vault, adidas apparently runs a Consortium.  The Asics Directional Level doesn’t allow it to smoothly fit in with that list, but it’s a group that well suits Asics’ new premium lineup.  You can expect a focus on premium releases including collaborative efforts from this new release tier when they become available at Europe’s best sneaker boutiques.  First upcoming are a duo of pairs for September.  There’s a white Asics GT II that incorporates purple and electric blue alongside a Gel-Lyte Speed that goes for a stark contrast with green, purple and black on the upper.  Check out these and other upcoming releases from Asics Directional Level photos after the jump.  via Endorsed

Asics Gel Lyte III Blue Jumbo October 2009

The Asics Gel Lyte III is back, once again using some wild colors and patterns to bring new life to the classic running model. Coming off eye-catching recent designs like the “Blueberry” and “Lite Brite” editions, the Gel Lyte III returns in a crazy new colorway that combines a black and grey foundation with bright blue and yellow accents. Obviously the most noticeable attribute is the pattern on the upper that looks suspiciously similar to Elephant print, but the checkered mesh design on the toe box also offers another interesting style touch. If you’re feeling this version of the Gel Lyte III that has unofficially been dubbed the “Blue Jumbo,” check out some more pics after the jump and keep an eye out for these at select Asics retailers in October.  Via SnkrFrkr.
