Nike unearths another legendary slip-on runner in the Sock Dart with the sublime touch of fragment design. Hiroshi Fujiwara’s label has been enjoying massive success in 2014, with several sneaker releases already dropped in his name, but the Sock Dart is a true retro because we haven’t seen this silhouette since 2004. This olive green colorway features a knit forefoot with a translucent midfoot strap, an altogether applause-worthy concoction that we’ve come to expect from fragment design. A release date hasn’t been set, but stay tuned for release info from the NikeLab Twitter.

size? x Nike Air Huarache Light – Release Date

size nike air huarache light release date 01 size? x Nike Air Huarache Light Release Date

The size? x Nike Air Huarache Light arrives on October 31st, 2014. Needless to say the Huarache line is back, but overseas, this hasn’t been news as they’ve been holding down the name for quite some time. size? continues to work their respective magic whilst collaborating with the Swoosh, and the latest pair features an earthy aesthetic in an homage to the Nike Mowabb. All of the unofficial references to the Air Mowabb are making us hungry for the real thing, but in the meantime, size? does an incredible job at replicating the perfect fall aesthetic on the crowd-pleasing Nike Air Huarache Light. The clean royal blue mesh and orange work together on the upper to contrast that lifestyle-induced tan suede mudguard while speckling on the midsole adds an attention to detail ethos that will make this pair rather coveted. Check out more detailed images after the break and even though we’ll have to anticipate whether this size? collaboration will be arriving to global retailers at a later date or not, you can always secure your pair straight from the source.

adidas Originals Consortium “Quotoole”

adidas originals consortium quotoole 1 adidas Originals Consortium Quotoole

Freelance illustrator Peter O’Toole and adidas collector Quote first met on the Crooked Tongues forum back in 2005, and their collective passion for the three stripes led them to collaborate on a series of posters detailing vintage adidas models with the help of Quote’s eclectic knowledge of the brand. adidas  Originals eventually took notice and invited the pair to develop a limited edition book, what would become known as Quote’s Archive and their hard work paid off – now they’re gracing a retro runner with their respective magic. They chose the adidas ZX 420, as this pale blue soft suede and mesh combination was inspired by a rare adidas Denver pair from Quote’s collection. Hit the click to see more of what the two created, and know that while the shoe is set for a limited run at No74 in Berlin this Saturday, October 25th, the release will open up globally come November 15th.

nigo adidas zx 500 og 01 NIGO x adidas Originals ZX 500

Though most assume that Kanye West and Pharrell Williams will lead the charge in this new adidas revolution, there are some, very few mind you, who believe in the power that is NIGO. His name might not resonate like his two counterparts in the Americas, but with regard to fashion and sneaker culture influence, he certainly ranks just as high if not higher than two thirds of C.R.S. (Child Rebel Solider). The fact of the matter is NIGO has a keen sense of what people want, how to create it, and most importantly, how to serve it to consumers in a way they can digest it, and adidas has capitalized on that with their triumphant new branding experience. The NIGO x adidas Originals collection releases tomorrow in its entirety, a surely critical release for adidas as it should indicate if their core audience follows their new direction, and also if their new fans will continue to grow fonder of their brand as it reaches deeper into their heritage. The collaborative ZX 500 is just one of the many drops tomorrow, so check them out below and let us know what you plan to cop for NIGO x adidas Originals.

As we patiently wait for the next great AF1 team-up, we’re taking look back at some of our personal favorite Air Force 1 collab offerings from over the years.

Reebok pump question mid villa 25 year VILLA x Reebok Pump Question Mid

Although Allen Iverson bounced around different teams and countries during the end of his career, he got to hang up his jersey as a member of the Philadelphia Sixers. AI will always be a representative for the city of Philadelphia, and Philly-based Villa used that statement when given the opportunity to collaborate with Reebok atop the all-new Pump Question Mid in a celebration of the Vector Brand technology’s 25th anniversary (this year is also the quarter century anniversary of Philadelphia shop Villa opening its doors). They decided to paint Iverson’s Philly story, drawing inspiration from the guard’s Bentley by way of a premium perforated grey coincides with red and blue accents throughout.
