There’s really not much needed to be said. It’s just another way for Nike and JB to make us ponder the possibilities of the Jordan design legacy and the potential (or maybe failures) of future output. It would have been interesting to see the new AJ 2010 in there just for kicks. But then again, that’s causing some buzz per se. Without further adéu, the remaining Jordan series: XVII – 2009.

We revealed Niketown’s exhibition of the White/Red Air Jordan Collection with the White/Red Air Jordan 1 to 8. We’re sure images of such designs are causing quite a stir already. It’ll be interesting to see where the comments lead. To cause more of a stir, here’s a second intallment featuring AJ’s IX through XVI. Enjoy.

If you saw these on some dude’s feet rather than on display, your first instinct would probably be to burst into laughter at how fake they are. After all, these weren’t even a real colorway! But this Jordan set is certainly not going to be ridiculed. For our viewing pleasure, the entire Air Jordan collection is on exhibition in a special unified color scheme, following the concept of the hyped white/white collection seen after the launch of Jumpman23’s History of Flight featurette. The entire upper take on white, while the linings and soles have red, all topped off with black laces. Some of the Jay’s seen may resemble pre-existing colorways, but get it straight- none of these have ever been seen before in a pallette layout as this. To make them even more unique, all the inner linings feature a lux (and quite comfy looking) quilting stitching. Enjoy the shots, the rest of the Jordan collection to come soon!

Nike Sportswear’s flagship store in New York opened just over a year ago. This project representing both the brand reorganization/renaming (remember ‘Nike Sport Culture’?) and the store itself have done phenomenally well, especially given the current economic climate.
Rather than just resting on their success, the Swoosh would rather, say, head ‘out’ for a treadmill run accompanied by a floor-to-ceiling video display. Clever stuff like this ‘Runner’s Studio’ is what makes Nike’s new store in the Harajuku section of Tokyo immediately indispensable.
The hardwood floors are painted with metallic silver ‘lanes’ so you can run through the store if that’s more your style. You can customize your own kicks in the Nike iD Studio, which is emphasized by a floating display of all-white samples that would have any fan of the Try-Ons series sweeping from joy and envy. The store is fully stocked with all of the current releases, as well as some special limited drops from before. Take a look at the new Nike Harajuku flagship after the jump. via ShoesMaster

In the golden years of sneaker culture, most of the philosophy was driven by a basketball fan base. However as years past and times changed, sneakers styles expanded and so did the people that influenced and supported it. And so, new sports came into the spotlight, becoming new inspiration to which causes designs and styles to multiply exponentially. Boxing may seem like a sport that isn’t included in this scenario, being that their athletic footwear doesn’t vary much from boxer to boxer. But Manny Pacquiao’s victorious story has certainly become something of legend. And so, as Manny fights Miguel Cotto in Vegas for a new title in the welterweight division, Nike is giving 150 lucky Filipinos the opportunity to a live screening of the bout. The invitation-only viewing will be in the city of Makati, Philippines. The winners will be chosen for the best 7-word story to depict Pacman’s journey to obtain a record-breaking 7th title across 7 different weight divisions. During the screening, it will be announced who was chosen with the absolute best entry, which will be awarded with a super-exlusive pair of MP Air Trainer 1’s, of course designed with a Philippines colorway. You can check the current submitted entries here. via kingcrux31

Barcelona based sneaker retailer Oqium recently opened their store in a new location on October 31st. There was a long line of sneaker heads waiting to get in and see all the great kicks on display and to cop all sorts of new and vintage styles from Jordan brand and Nike. From the photos it looks like they had a nice selection of styles including an array of Air Yeezys. Via EUKicks

As reported yesterday, the Bobbito Garcia edition of the Pro-Keds Royal Flash (Add-On) finally dropped today, and to kick off the release, Kool Bob Love himself embarked on a five store tour of sneaker shops that started in New Jersey and eventually worked its way across NYC. The first in-store destination was Packer Shoes at noon, where a nice Pro-Keds Royal Flash display and some matching t-shirts were ready and waiting, along with a packed house anticipating Bobbito’s arrival. As soon as he walked in, he got right down to mixing it up with the crowd in his typical gregarious manner. After greetings and salutations, Bob quickly set up shop behind the counter and began putting the Sharpie to work.
In addition to Pro-Keds shoe boxes, the man of the hour was more than happy to tag up anything put in front of him. Some other signable items of note included old magazines, vinyl records and of course, copies of his book, Where’d You Get Those. In addition to providing John Hancocks to anyone who wanted one, the friendly and outgoing renaissance man was also happy to pose for photos and chat it up with all the event-goers. By the time Bobbito had to leave for the next in-store, everything was all autographed up, with a good percentage of the crowd either carrying a Bobbito x Pro-Keds Royal Flash box or rocking a pair on the spot. The green pair was the hot item of the day, but there are still some sizes in all three colorways still available at PackerShoes.

Though the Nike Dunk and Air Force 1 customs created by SBTG for the fourth installment of KICKS LAB were dope, there was plenty beyond those to enjoy. SBTG, known to the Singapore government as Mark Ong (above, left), had both the Blue Devil and Sable kicks on display and sale at the show in Tokyo’s Shibuya district, but some photos show the renowned customizer may have gone one step too far and customized his own currency. It was probably just for fun though, as other photos you’ll see after the jump detail the dope event, including an appearance from NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND.
