It all started with that Air Jordan IV, showing up with the monochrome blocking on top that was unlike any Air Jordan colorway we’d seen before. After that the Air Jordan XVI and Air Jordan XII did the same, suggesting that the super colorful pairs were part of some over-arching theme never to make it to retail, sort of in the same vein as the ‘History of Flight’ or ‘Pantone’ series. Well folks, Pandora’s box has officially been opened-it turns out the set spans quite the range, starting at the Air Jordan 1 and reaching all the way up to last year’s Air Jordan 2011, created strictly for display purposes in the Spring 2011 season just like the aforementioned collections. Every two pairs along the way sports a slightly different shade, with the 25 separate models included pretty much spanning what the rainbow has to offer. Jordan Brand quickly signed on women’s basketball phenom Maya Moore as a member of its exclusive roster, and that devotion paid off immediately as Moore won her first WNBA title with the Minnesota Lynx last Summer. Yesterday, the Lynx were presented with their Championship rings before the game, and Moore took center court with a pair of Air Jordan X ‘Championship Edition’ PEs, which appears to be February’s ‘Old Royal’ release with a honorable Jumpman seal of approval on the upper. We’ve got a full shot of the shoes as well as Maya in the kicks accepting her ring with her teammates below, so take a look and we’ll keep you in tune with other Maya Moore PEs as the WNBA season rolls along!

Michael Jordan doesn’t like to fail. In fact, he’s recited one of the most inspiring speeches on ‘failure’ in a memorable Air Jordan commericial years back, and how his failures has led to his many successes. One thing he learned about being an average-at-best baseball player was to get back on the NBA court, and although MJ would’ve loved another shot to redeem himself, the lockout didn’t allow him that opportunity and instead MJ went on the pedestrian route and tallied a mere threepeat from ’96 to ’98. Here we have a look at one of the rarer pieces of the Air Jordan pool – a Black/Red PE made just for Jordan on the diamond; with three great Air Jordan X Retros having just passed us, how sick would an all-leather colorway just like this one be? A ‘reverse’ Chicago of sorts? Check out the extra shots below and let us know what you’d think of such a concept, and see the entire listing from pdarmos on eBay.

Welcome to the final NBA Feet feature of the 2011-2012 NBA Regular Season! We’ll keep you on track as the Playoffs move along, but there’s one last helping of NBA kicks that should have you excited for Playoff basketball. This year’s sneaker king award goes to Monta Ellis, who finished off the season wearing the Air Jordan X in 2005′s Varsity Red colorway. Amir Johnson of the Raptors switched to the Flu Game Air Jordan XII, while Q-Rich rocked one of his Air Jordan XIII PEs. Hakim Warrick went with the ‘Wolf’ Kobe VII, while Paul George opted for an iD version of that model. We’ve got a great recap of NBA Feet for you below, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for NBA Feet for the Playoffs! Photos: espn

We were reminded of the Air Jordan X ‘City Series’ when its ‘Chicago’ colorway retroed this January followed by the white leather-uppered ‘Old Royal’ edition the following month, but that brand new colorup signaled the end of the road for Retro 10s in 2012. If we were to be blessed with more AJXs this year, surely the pair pictured above would be among the most coveted, the ‘Seattle’ Air Jordan 10 that offered a bit of indirect foreshadowing of Michael Jordan bending the Sonics under his will a year after its release. This OG pair from 1995 looks to be in pristine shape and includes the original packaging for anyone who’s willing to ship $900 including S&H to tscott189 on eBay.

The subject of a recent ‘On the Fence’ feature, the Air Jordan 10 ‘Stealth’ has exceeded expectations during the past few months that’ve been more filled with huge releases than many entire years gone by. Maybe it’s because they hit on this season’s key palette, or maybe the desire for Air Jordan 10 Retros has been quietly building since the 2005s, but more likely a combination of these reasons that explain how this one has been able to move so swiftly. If you missed out on the first run of them, you’re in luck, as Finish Line has restocked nearly all sizes so there are more available in addition to the pairs currently listed on eBay.

There’s a little less than two weeks to go in the NBA season, but the NBA kicks just seem to get better and better. After debuting the Ambassador IV on Friday night, LeBron whipped out the Nike LeBron 9 Low in Black/Red against the Knicks on Sunday. The Garden seemed to be home to a lot of great sightings, because we saw the Air Jordan 2012, Air Jordan X, Kobe VII ‘Wolf’, and even John Wall’s ‘Beyond The Gold’ PE hit the Mecca floor. Other notables include Nate Robinson showing the Melo M8 some love, OJ Mayo rocking the tonal patent leather navy Air Max CB 34 HOH exclusives, and Timofey Mosgov boasting what might be the best iD colorway of the Huarache 2k4. The sneaker king of the week is without a doubt Monta Ellis, who showed up on Friday night with the Air Jordan XVI CDP and Air Jordan XVIII CDP (switching at halftime), and on Sunday with the Silver Anniversary XI. More of this weekend’s best footwear sightings, so take a look for a full recap of NBA Feet! Photos: espn
