This model differs from the IE version in that it features patent leather and comes as a more direct descendant of the Air Jordan XI in terms of aesthetics. The Air Jordan XI Low in this form was not available to the public until the retro treatment that began in 2001.

Remember when Dank Customs whipped up that low-top version of the Air Jordan XI “Bred”? He follows that up with another low-top version of the Air Jordan XI classic – the iconic “Space Jam” colorway that started a string of singular XI Retro releases in December.This one’s got the iconic XI detailing down to the tee, but in typical fashion, Dank adds a sick touch with the Space Jam movie logo on insoles of the shoes. The sneaker is actually one of two Air Jordan XI Low pairs releasing on that same day, with the month of June catering to the men and the women on that Saturday. Recently a sample version of this Air Jordan XI Low has surfaced, revealing some distinct variations in the red outsole and the inner lining. However, this version is the one we can expect come June 8th as Jordan Brand unveils the official images of this Summer-time must-have; it’s like a mix of the Air Jordan XI “Columbia” and the Air Jordan XI “Bred” in low-top form, so there’s certainly a reason to get these in your rotation once the release date comes. The upcoming Air Jordan XI Low that is scheduled for a May release could have ended up a bit differently. See this here? While it looks the same as the one you are expecting to release, these have a red outsole, making them a bit too much like last year’s Air Jordan XI Low release. The remainder of the color-profile is the same, but considering these are a scrapped sample, the asking price is, well, almost not worth the extra money, especially considering the number of skilled sole-swappers and dyers that can probably get that done. New photos have emerged, so take a look from the shoes seen on this listing from jesusisbackintown on eBay.

This version actually brings in the same midsole/outsole concept of the Blackbout Breds, but gives it a lux appeal with the red snakeskin upper – a nice variation of the Air Jordan XI Low “Snakeskin” that dropped over a decade ago. Quite a way to launch a franchise in a new city! The Brooklyn Nets are headed to the Playoffs, and with their seedings already in place, the Nets sat most of their stars during the season finale last night. Joe Johnson, who was spotted on the bench earlier this week with the Air Jordan XI Low (he played zero minutes though), got in some minutes yesterday wearing the May 2013 release. Quite the perfect match with the simplistic uniforms the Nets will be wearing throughout the postseason, so check out the images below and stay tuned for a great NBA feature later today.
