“You got everybody in here ‘Oh my gosh’-in’!”
Big Sean appropriated Rick James via MC Hammer for an entirely different purpose, but that doesn’t mean some of his lyrics aren’t indeed spot-on in describing adidas Basketball’s troupe of all-star dunkers. Three Stripes ballers Dwight Howard, Eric Gordon and Jrue Holiday were on hand for the shooting of the adidas x Foot Locker ‘The Difference’ commercial a short while back, and the cameras kept rolling after the action was wrapped because these guys decided to put on another show. With the help of an unnamed young 1 with a handle like ‘The Professor’, all kinds of oops, reverse jams and 360-did-you-see-thats are being served up fresh, and you can see the entire highlight reel after the jump below.

G.O.O.D. Music rapper Big Sean has been working with adidas since his track ‘I Do It’ was featured as part of Derrick Rose’s first adiZero Crazy Light commercial. And though he’s collaborated on a leopard print Superstar, we can’t forget that shortly after the Three Stripes partnership was rolled out, Sean showed up in concert in NYC wearing the ‘Grape’ Air Jordan V. It’s one of his 25 favorite kicks ever as told to Complex, a list that contained plenty of Nike and Jordan classics. It’s a brave new world where rappers can cross boundaries athletes only venture once, maybe twice in their careers. And that’s kind of what it’s like to be a superstar producer like the appropriately named Hit-Boy. Add in the fact that Big Sean is opening for Kanye West and Jay-Z on their ‘Watch the Throne’ tour and Hit Boy produced its most recent hit single, and it’s not so cray that both got gifted what is rumored to be one of seven pairs ofNike LeBron 9 WTTs. Seriously, one of seven when you’re talking about a design this hot is balling so hard, and it looks like the photos you’ll see after the jump are as close as most will ever get to them.

“9.8 ounces is nothing. 9.8 ounces is everything.”
When you’ve got the lightest basketball shoe in the world, it’s okay to brag. adidas Basketball has designed the adidas adiZero Crazy Light so that it’s so slight you can barely feel them yet their distinctive Three Striped ankle collar ensures you can recognize them from afar. It’s these kinds of edges you’ll see emphasized in the new ‘The Difference’ video from Foot Locker and adidas, a clip starring Dwight Howard and young ballers Eric Gordon and Jrue Holiday plus the Rick James via MC Hammer-sampling music of Big Sean. Click through to watch the short and let us know if your team rocks the Crazy Light. Look out for the ‘Blackout’ edition of the adiZero Crazy Light hitting Foot Locker retailers this Friday.

“I waited my whole life to be the man of the hour . . . “
It’s hard to know exactly how long twenty-three year-old Detroit rapper Big Sean has been watching the throne, but just the name of his debut record should give some indication that dude feels like his time to shine is overdue. Following up on Finally Famous is the DJ Mo Beatz x Big Sean x adidas Originals Finally Originals mixtape, featuring remixes from . . . Famous by a variety of up and coming producers. We’d just seen Sean’s leopard print Superstar shelltoes last week, and the promo video for this new selection of songs shows that there’s a snakeskin adidas Originals Superstar High on the way as well. Click through for a sampling of both the tunes and the shoes and stick with Sneaker News for updates on all the upcoming Big Sean x adidas Originals projects.

Between his duets with Chris Brown and Kanye West, Detroit MC Big Sean has managed to garner some serious mainstream success in 2011. His track ‘I Do It’ was also a key component of adidas mid-summer marketing push, commercials with NBA MVP Derrick Rose popping up everywhere you cared to look in May and June. With all that notoriety, it’s about time Sean got up with Three Stripes for a collaborative release of his own, and it looks like it’ll be coming on the silhouette made famous by a trio of New York-based hip-hoppers about a quarter-century ago. The Big Sean x adidas Originals Superstar is in step with today’s trends thanks to black accents on an otherwise leopard-printed lowtop silhouette; woudl you buy these if they make it to retail? Check them out in more detail after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the Big Sean x adidas Originals teamup. via SF

Most of the gentlemen featured in this edition of Celebrity Feet have been known to rock heat on the regular, so what happens when you get them all in the same room? Something of an arms-race it turns out, with each sneakerhead bringing out their big guns for the 2011 B.E.T. Hip Hop Awards this past weekend in Atlanta. You can make your own judgements on who came out on top based on the full set of pics after the jump, but we’re tipping our hat to the four dudes above. Amare Stoudemire showed up in his Nike Air Max Sweep Thru PE’s, Pill went for the just released Nike Air Total Foamposite Max, Big K.R.I.T. stuck with a classic in the Air Jordan XI Concord, and the ever unpredictable Soulja Boy opted for the high-end in his Louis Vuitton Dons. Big Sean, who is currently the opening act for Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers Tour, performed a few tracks from his acclaimed Finally Famous: The Album in front of a sold out crowd in Atlanta, GA. During the performance, Big Sean wore one of his 25 favorite sneakers of all-time – the Air Jordan V Retro in the ‘Grape’ colorway. However, just one month ago, Big Sean was the focus of a ‘take-over’ of the adidas Originals retail spot in New York City, so whether or not Big Sean is on an official celebrity roster of the three-stripes is still a developing story. Big Sean was the guest of honor at the adidas retail store in Lower Manhattan, New York, where he received two special personalized pairs of the adidas Superstar as well as a neat adidas Superstar silver chain. The crowd turnout was amazing, as hundreds of fans showed up to see the hip-hop act and to get free tickets to his album release party. After receiving his special gifts from adidas, Big Sean took to the streets and engaged his fans while standing atop a van, all while wearing a black/white pair of adidas Superstars. If you’re in the habit of watching TV (and especially online episodes), chances are, the first few bars of Big Sean’s ‘I Do It’ are burnt into your mind along with images of the aptly named adidas adiZero Crazy Light. In the TV spot, NBA MVP Derrick Rose tells you to remember the number 9.8, and not just because the Chicago Bulls were 7 wins away from a title. It’s actually the shockingly slight weight of a size 9, an accomplishment whose cutting edge construction fits the futurism captured by this track’s bulbous synth notes. Click through to see the ‘What’s in a Number’ remix and stick with Sneaker News for the latest from adidas Basketball.
