The New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ was filled to the brim with today’s hottest and most relevant hip-hop celebrities, who performed at the annual HOT 97 concert event. All the headlining names brought out some sick heat, like Wale’s Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Retro’ and Nike Air Max LeBron VII ‘HWC’ PE, Fabolous’ Air Jordan III ‘Flip’, Wiz Khalifa’s Air Jordan VI Infrared, and many, many more. Swizz Beatz showed up wearing a new White/Red/Black colorway of his Reebok Kamikaze, but it was also interesting to note that Rick Ross, who has been consistent with his Nike/Jordan game, wore a pair of the Kamikazes as well. There were plenty of other great sneaker sightings, like the Air Jordan IV ‘Laser’ and ‘Cool Grey’, the Air Jordan III ‘True Blue’, and Air Jordan 1 ‘BMP’, so take a nice look at all the celebs from the HOT 97 Summer Jam 2011 and let us know who rocked the best kicks!

Drake attended the Toronto premiere of “Never Say Never” which stars fellow Canadian artist, Justin Bieber, who was also in attendance at the AMC Yonge & Dundas 24 Theatre. Drizzy showed up wearing a pair of matching “YMCMB” grey sweats and a large black bubble goose jacket to go with his crispy pair of the recently re-released White Cement Air Jordan III’s. Drake made sure to let us know that his pair was fresh out of the box by leaving the Jordan hangtag dangling off the side of the shoe. Take a look at some more pictures from the premiere after the jump, and if you still need your pair of White/Cement AJ III’s, you can find them now on eBay.

Drake and J. Cole performed at Le Zenith in Paris, France last night as a part of the ongoing Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour. On the last documented stop of the tour, Drake brought out a pair of the ‘Orion Blue’ VII’s, which are set to be released at the end of March, but in Paris, Drake decided to switch it up and wear a pair of the ‘Bordeaux’ Air Jordan VII’s – the storied colorway that MJ wore during the 1992 NBA All-Star Game. J. Cole might have “one upped” Drizzy by going back into his sneaker closet as he wore the Air Jordan VI’s from the 2006 Defining Moments Pack. Who rocked more heat? Check out the detailed images below and let us know who you think had more heat on in Paris.

During his performance at the 94.9 Wildjam in San Jose, CA, Aubrey Graham Drake aka ‘Drake’ wore the Air Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’ to match his all-black ensemble. Likely to be the upcoming Retro version (the OGs would probably be unable to handle Drake’s animated performance style), Drake’s kicks matched just fine with all-black and managed to stand out with the charcoal grey and hints of Bordeaux as well as the other bright colors seen on this colorway. Drake’s been Jordan-friendly with his 2010 appearances and he certainly ended the year on a high note regardless of whether he was rocking Originals or Re-issues. Check out Drake’s kicks after the jump and let us know what you think. via mercurynews/wild94.9.

Lil Wayne surprised his good friend and Young Money label mate, Drake, during his final concert of the “Lightdreams and Nightmares” tour in Las Vegas this past weekend. Weezy, who just finished a stint at Riker Island in New York, came out midway through his song with Drake, “Miss Me”, and performed shirtless wearing only a beanie, jeans, and a pair of adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott Wings 2.0 sneakers in White and Black. Drake was so surprised at Weezy’s unexpected cameo appearance that he almost jumped out of his Black/White Air Jordan II Retro QF’s. Take a look at more pictures from the show after the jump. Drake, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Bobby Valentino, Lloyd, and Ne-Yo were all a part of the Power 99 FM 2010 Powerhouse Concert in Philadelphia that was held at the Wells Fargo Center over the weekend. Drizzy showed more of his Jordan closet with his pair of Air Jordan IX’s in the OG White, Black, and Varsity Red that Chris Brown was also seen wearing just a few weeks ago. Rick Ross on the other hand showed up wearing a pair of the recently released Louis Vuitton Black Checkerboard Tower high top sneakers that will set you back a cool $700+. As for the rest of the artists who performed, their sneaker game wasn’t comparable to Drizzy and Ross’. Take a look at some of the performances from the concert after the jump…
