Drake is following the NOCTA-exclusive drop of two Hot Step Air Terra styles with the release of the Nike Air Force 1 “Love You Forever”, a special edition of Bruce Kilgore’s 40-year-old design dedicated to his mother and inspired by their favorite book.

First seen over a year ago, Aubrey Graham’s next joint-effort with the Swoosh indulges in a straightforward and classic “White” ensemble. Countless netizens have taken to social media to express their disappointment in the sneaker’s simplicity, but it’s worth nothing that making adjustments to the Air Force 1 Low‘s outsole pattern, for example, is no small feat: the pair features hearts instead of stars at the forefoot, a decision that required a brand-new mold. “AIR” text at the lateral midsole is replaced with a cursive “Love you forever”, a message that’s echoed in the children’s picture book from 1986 of the same title (written by Robert Munsch and illustrated by Sheila McGraw).

Drake unveiled a modified version of the 36-year-old book–alongside the “Love You Forever” Air Force 1–on his Instagram, revealing its dedication to the world: “For my mother, Your perennial care and nurturing is never lost on me. This book is the time capsule of our love. I long for the days when it was this simple. — Aubrey.”

The next Nike shoe by Drake comes equipped with letter blocks for the vamp area and heart-shaped jewels at the lateral heel. Previous looks at the collaborative pair didn’t include the latter detail, which suggests there have been different versions of the product since first being teased in 2021. Nevertheless, the “Love You Forever” style is likely to sell out immediately whenever it finally hits retailers.

While no Nike SNKRS release details have been disclosed by the brand, Drake’s next Swoosh collaboration is expected to drop on Friday, December 2nd, for $160 USD. Stay tuned for updates.
