The Nike Air Max Plus recently upgraded to a new hyperfuse look to nod at the USA just in time for a Wold Cup celebratory scheme. And while the pair featured above doesn’t have anything to do with the tournament that kicked off today, it is a reference to the professional club known as the Western Sydney Wanderers and their black and red color scheme. The sneaker gets a simple white mesh base while mudguard contrasts in a black patent leather. Add a gradient of red to the mix to the side panel waves to imitate the look of flames and this pair is sure to turn heads. As has been the case with so many Air Max Plus/TN pairs lately, they’re not in the US – but keep your fingers crossed. See them after the click and see them at Foot Locker EU.

The Nike Air Max Plus in Hyperfuse mode has done some more switching up than most pairs that get the Fuse treatment. Not content with merely replacing the traditional material set, the sneaker also super-sizes the side Swoosh and makes sure to replace the tongue tag to make the remix status known. Perhaps in an effort to make this traditionally Euro silhouette a little bit more friendly to North America, they’ve also got a USA colorway going on. Get the full photo of them after the click if you’re intrigued by this new Nike Air Max creation.
