Nike Ja 4
The Nike Ja 4 is Ja Morant’s fourth signature shoe under the Swoosh. Its reveal came by way of the man himself, playing off his penchant for leaking upcoming colorways and releases via his social media feeds.
With how widely celebrated and beloved the Ja 3 was, it’s a tough act to follow, but the Nike Ja 4 immediately elicited its own glowing response, with many crowning Ja Morant shoes as the company’s new leader in terms of sig shoe design. The sharpened, rigid design language from the 3 influences its sequel, as does the spell-out cues; a Reverse Swoosh and new TPU “Ja-Frame” create his first name on the lateral side.
From a tech perspective, the Ja 4 shifts to a combination of Cushlon 3.0 foam and a super critical sock-liner underfoot, supplanting the ZoomX from the previous iteration. Triangular diamond traction underfoot aligns with the same cues throughout the upper. Nike recommends going a half-size up for extra room towards the toe.
Signalling his overall cachet in Beaverton, the signature shoe is dropping soon before the Nike Twelve Time, his first takedown silhouette.
The Nike Ja 4 is confirmed for an August 13th release globally with a $130 retail price, though a China-exclusive “Rise” dropped at the end of July. The “Nightmare” colorway will be the first to wide market, with additional looks like the “Jaws,” and some teased looks like a teal/red and black/silver expected throughout the 2026-27 season.
