Up to this point the Reebok Sublite ProRise has been a little but elusive, marking off Reebok’s entry into the ultra lightweight basketball sneaker market with something less than a bang. Thankfully drawing some more attention to the sleek sneaker is this huge set of official images, showing off a range of colorways from the more muted blacks to some high energy combos including a rather ‘Sprite’ looking pair. Along with their latest John Wall PE, Reebok showed off a brand new style at its recent Basketball Summit event, a logical progression in terms of both performance and visual style befitting the ‘rest’ of the RBK team. The Reebok SubLite Pro Rise is shown off in front of banners of Wall, Ramon Sessions, Jason Terry, Jameer Nelson and Isaiah Thomas, the latter quartet of whom might expect to see action this season in its featherweight build finished with the unique Zig-meets-traditional sole setup. While a certain three stripes conglomerate would like you to believe they’ve got a monopoly on lightweight basketball sneakers, the Vector Brand has launched its own salvo into that design category that can definitely hold its own. The sneaker in question is the Reebok SubLite Pro Rise, a not quite Ziggy sneaker that splits hairs past the adidas adiZero Crazy Light 2, weighing in at 9.4 ounces.
