We see ostrich leather on premium release sneakers from time to time and the latest to employ this bumpy material is Japan’s A Bathing Ape. The new Bapestas pictured above are actually made from traditional cowhide that’s been altered to look like a particularly ‘crowny’ ostrich skin. This lends itself nicely to Bape’s over the top stylings and gets the point across quite nicely. You can pick from white/brown/black, white/red/blue or all-white pairs, each of which has white laces. Click the jump for more shots and check your local Bape retailer to cop a pair today. via FRESHNESS
