Nike Sportswear’s upcoming ‘Be True To Your Street’ collection of Dunks is a play on the ‘Be True To Your School’ campaign that celebrated the seven original universities who wore the Nike Dunk High when it debuted in 1985. A lot’s changed in the sneaker world since then, some of which you can see in this new Nike WMNS Skinny Dunk High. Out just in time for Valentines Day, these joints feature a deep red textile upper that’s accented by a subtle madras plaid pattern. A slimmed down, fashion-leaning Dunk for girls isn’t exactly the first thing that comes to mind when you think ‘BTTYS’, but they’ll hit as a part of the ‘…Street’ collection in February 2011 and you can get a better look right now by clicking on the jump below. via Dunk
