Nike Basketball’s 1995 slate was one of the most legendary and iconic years in hoops history. We detailed some of the most outstanding gems in our ongoing Flashback to ’95 series to celebrate the 20th anniversary of a handful of these models and now Nike is taking advantage by bringing some of the silhouettes back. Chris Webber’s Nike Air Max CW helped usher in one of the most iconic college basketball players of all time into the NBA with a formidable look. It’s unfortunate that C-Webb had to move on from the Swoosh after contract disputes (but even his DaDa models should bring on nostalgia) which would explain why the model is coming back under the new Nike Air Max Sensation name. Whereas Webber’s signature was more a sign of the times thanks to a chunky midsole and plenty of heavy leather throughout, the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 was an alien-like oddity thanks to large bubbles on the midsole and carbon fiber throughout that showcased Nike’s ability to look ahead to the future and make bold proclamations about what they envisioned through design. Both pairs should be available this October so check out a better view below and stay tuned for more release updates right here on Sneaker News.
