You already know Yu Ming Wu as the founder of Sneaker News and the co-founder of several other establishments such Stadium Goods, Sneaker Con, and much more. His latest completed project is strictly for the culture as he’s teamed up with the Pacific Place Mall in Hong Kong to display select items from his unrivaled sneaker collection in an incredible shoe-box style pop-up. Created in conjunction with Stadium Goods, this sneaker exhibit features over 100 pairs of Yu Ming’s personal items, with 40 of those rare pairs being available for sale.
In addition to the sneakers, a special pop-up experience for event-goers will be available as well, with the opportunity to customize sneakers at the hands of local and international artists. Kendra Dandy, Sophie Roach, Bao Ho, Zoie Lam, and Kristopher Ho will lend their efforts to help you create a true one-of-one customized sneaker to your liking, done in their signature style.
A special grand opening party was held last night for VIP and friends and family. The exhibit and experience is now open to the public at Hong Kong’s Pacific Place Mall and will be remain open through October 15th.
