Exhorbantly-priced “destroyed” sneakers have been around for years. Maison Margiela has released a shocking new melted take on their “Fusion” silhouette that looks as if it’s falling apart at the seams with a chipped and scuffed outsole, large smears of glue on the midsole and upper, and even a duct-tape detail on the lateral side. An extremely abstract lacing sytstem adds to the shoe’s destroyed aesthetic, and for a final touch of ruin the white toebox is covered in black scuffs.
