Nike Turns The Tables, Releases Air Safari Inspired By atmos Collaboration

One of the greatest collaborations in sneaker history was an Air Max 1 creation by the minds over at Japan’s atmos, a footwear retailer that has gone on to be one of the most significant collaborative partners in Nike Sportswear history. Back in 2003, atmos implemented the Air Safari design into the Air Max 1 silhouette, adding in other key details and materials such as the miniature Swoosh, canvas uppers, and the signature textured print. It appears that NSW is returning the homage by releasing the Air Safari in a colorways inspired by that exact collaboration, and the side-by-side shot above shows you exactly what the brand had in mind when creating these gems. Expect them soon at retailers such as atmos in Japan on June 29th.
