Nike Brings Back The Speed Turf Max Inspired By The New York Giants

It’s been a pretty rough year for the New York Giants. Currently standing at an abysmal 1-6 after a MNF loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the G-Men’s season isn’t playing out as expected. After drafting exciting RB Saquon Barkley and making OL Nate Soldier/WR Odell Beckham Jr. the highest-paid players in the league at their respective positions, the Giants had understandably high hopes for the 2018-19 season. Unfortunately they’ll have to go back to the drawing board next year — and will likely look to draft a new quarterback to replace the rapidly fading Eli Manning. At very least their disappointed fans can now harken back to their more competitive days of the mid ’90s though, as the classic Nike Speed Turf Max has re-released in a familiar red, white, and blue color scheme. Using a white mesh as the base, the shoe calls upon both royal and navy blue accents for color, while bright pops of red provide just enough head-turning style. A large navy blue strap provides lockdown while a heel Air Max unit and chunky outsole tread pattern ensure these classic Nike shoes are always ready for the gridiron. If you’re a Giants fan — or just love ’90s Nike silhouettes — these Speed Turfs are available now for $140 USD.
