Detailed Look At The A-COLD-WALL x Nike Air Force 1

Detailed Look At The A-COLD-WALL x Nike Air Force 1

With his time working at the illustrious Off-White atelier, Samuel Ross has grown to hone his deconstructive design aesthetic, often fusing many innovative ideas into his own label, A-COLD-WALL. Shying away from many of the trends found in mainstream streetwear, the eclectic designer tends to focus more on the details instead of cheeky graphic plays or bright tones. In his striking attention to detail and penchant for delving deep into the abstract, the brand has developed a very devoted cult following which is growing gradually in the wake of his many sought after collaborations.

With his Nike releases in the past reaching high acclaim — mirroring Virgil Abloh’s own relationship with the Beaverton establishment — Ross is set to take this year by storm, ushering in a design similar to his iconic Air Force 1 High though now in a blacked-out, low-top variation. Kept minimal to the utmost degree, the overlays are cut down, giving the entire Flyleather upper a somewhat seamless appearance. Keeping up with the entire motif, the model adopts only two lace holes with an accentuated lace lock, which creates a much more visually appealing cross along the forefoot. The typical Swoosh is swapped out for a more understated outline of dots while A-COLD-WALL logo hits rest boldly along the forefoot, tongue, insole, and lace dubrae. Expect the black ACW x Nike Air Force 1 to hit select retailers on December 21st.
