The Nike React Element 87 “Red Orbit” Is Coming Soon

When it first released in 2018, Nike’s React Element 87 pushed the limits of what was possible in casual technical footwear, and in the process became arguably the most popular silhouette of the year. It’s rolling right along with several new makeups in 2019, and the latest to appear is this bold new “Red Orbit.” Shying away from the earth-toned accents of other recent colorways, the “Red Orbit” instead opts to present a mixture of bold red, regal purple, smooth grey, and cool navy blue stylings, all placed on top of its signature smoky translucent TPE upper. This compelling combo offers the wearer an interesting option: they can either add further to the bright embellishments by wearing a colorful pair of socks, or they can opt to keep it slightly minimal with a simple sock selection. The colorful upper is then offset by a familiar white React midsole, one that’s accented by both grey and red plugs. These new 87s will arrive at retailers in the greater Asia-Pacific region on April 27th, with a global rollout set to follow later this year. As usual, the retail price is set at $170 USD.
