ANTA Celebrates Klay Thompson’s Supermax Deal With An Extremely Limited Sneaker Release

ANTA Celebrates Klay Thompson’s Supermax Deal With An Extremely Limited Sneaker Release

Even though Klay Thompson‘s season may have come to an unfortunate end due to a torn ACL, the quiet-yet-deadly shooting guard now has 190 million reasons to celebrate, as the Golden State Warriors recently offered him a five-year supermax deal. Thompson’s long-time endorser ANTA is joining in on the festivities as well by preparing a brand new ANTA KT4 “East Bay Times” in honor of the momentous signing. Inspired by Klay’s pre-game habit of reading the paper, this new design is rife with bold details. The entire upper and midsole feature an all over newspaper-style print, calling upon headlines and text printed in both English and Chinese, while also adding large full-color pictures of Klay doing what he does best: shooting jumpers. Signature “K” logos appear on both the sock collar and laces, while the heel tab features his #11. The look is then completed by a translucent outsole with a full-foot color printed photo. The shoes are also accompanied by a special box and tissue paper. Limited to a mere 200 pairs, these ultra-exclusive KT4s will release via Bay Area retailer Oaklandish at 11am PST on July 7th, so be sure to stop by and toast to another half decade of the Splash Bros if you’re in the area.
