Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Adds Barcode Identification On The Tongue

Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Adds Barcode Identification On The Tongue

Though much of this year was filled with uncertainties, at least the Nike Blazer Mid was consistent, continuing to release in schemes both wholly versatile and subtly modified. The silhouette’s latest, which seems to belong to the former category at first glance, is undoubtedly of the latter though it does a good job at hiding its one notable tweak.

Just as most Blazers start, the pair covers in white leathers, their texture tumbled across the majority of the profile as well as the toe. Overlaid, black Swooshes arc across the side, pointing forward to a side trim of tanned shade. Midsoles follow in the same natural tone, matching that of the eye stays as well as the heel tab whose “NIKE” text is printed in an emboldened typeface. Elsewhere, the tongue forgoes the usual label and marks with the offering’s unique signature: a barcode ID.

What this barcode could lead to is currently a mystery. If you want to see it for yourself, then you may have to acquire a pair once it hits Nike.com in the coming months.

In other news, official images of the sacai VaporWaffle Villain Red have surfaced.
