Although Earth Month is coming to a close, Nike is continuing its sustainability efforts via its ongoing Move-to-Zero campaign. Not only has the campaign pushed for sustainable materials innovation but also created new silhouettes that take current favorites to the next level. The Nike Waffle Racer Crater, for instance, is a sustainable take on the heritage-inspired Nike Waffle styles. The collection of Waffle Racer Craters continues to grow with a women’s-exclusive arrangement in a trendy Coconut Milk makeup.
The aforementioned cream shade is applied to the textile uppers and recycled twill overlays above the midsole. Furthering the neutral-tones aesthetic, the suede overlays wrapping around the toe and heel are in grey, while the side Swoosh opts for metallic silver leather. Team Orange then enters the mix as a bright pop of color added the leather heel tab and zig-zag stitching details on the side Swoosh. As for the sole unit, the Crater foam delivers comfort while making use of recycled materials. Underfoot, the speckled Regrind rubber, another eco-friendly innovation, provides traction that still retains the iconic Waffle pattern.
