The Nike Air Huarache has been teasing its 30th anniversary over the greater part of a year, delivering original ensembles alongside modern ones. For its latest appearance, however, it’s gone back in time to dress up in “Toadstool/Black/Chestnut Brown.”
While not as vibrant as the “Screen Green” and “Deep Magenta” styles unquestionably informed by the design’s 1991 debut year, the newly-surfaced colorway harkens back to the Swoosh’s developments in the outdoors-ready footwear space. Hits of brown take over much of the upper, although “Black” complements the autumnal choices. Laces and Nike Huarache logos on the tongue boast a slightly different shade of brown, as does the “LIMITED EDITION”-stamped hangtag that accompanies the pair. Underfoot, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic creation opts for a pitch-dark sole unit, allowing “Toadstool” and “Chestnut Brown” hues to steal the show.
