Over the years, Nike has seemed to ditch the “shrink it and pink it” methodology for creating women’s sneakers. Although that simple procedure can work for a some silhouettes, women’s sneakers can take on a whole new dimension by making thoughtful modifications that truly accentuate feminine boldness. The Dunk Low Disrupt is a perfect example of how an all-time classic can be transformed, and although there was considerable backlash when it first surfaced, it’s clear the brand was expecting the response. The shoes are, after all, called the Disrupt, and since its rise, it’s become one of the most popular silhouettes in the NSW catalog.
As if the Disrupt needed anything more to give it a women’s exclusive appeal, Nike has added charm bracelets to the exterior. Hanging off the lateral side is a golden chain with small pendants depicting Nike shoeboxes, basketballs, and Swoosh logos for the truly Nike-obsessed. Not long ago we showed you one in a teal velvet, but this one keeps it simple with an all leather white construction.
You can expect these at Nike retailers before 2021’s end. For more classic Dunk Low looks, check out the official images of the Goldenrod Dunks.
