Having debuted in 1991, the Nike Air Huarache has seen a lot over the last 32 years. Recently, Tinker Hatfield’s scuba gear-inspired silhouette emerged in a new “Black/Volt” colorway complete with modifications to the original blueprint.
Neoprene tongue and collar construction joins reinforced nylon material visible at the toe box and profiles for a performance-informed, functional proposition. Varying shades of “Black” cover the majority of the shoe, with an electric neon green introducing stark contrast via the Air Huarache logo on the tongue, as well as the branding on the non-standard pull tab at the heel. Midsoles and their waffle-patterned traction underfoot revert to a stealthy look, further proving how compelling the one-two-punch that Nike revisits time and time again is.
No firm Nike.com launch details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
