Music, fashion, sneakers and art all intersect with the game of basketball. Harkening the latter’s influence and inspiration through one of The Swooshes originally tooled offerings for the hardwood, the Beaverton-based brand’s latest inline collection based on spray paint artistry is landing on the Nike Dunk High.
Following its messy and artistic inclusion on a pair of Air Force 1’s, a greyscale ensemble envelops the entirety of the Dunk’s choice of color blocking, casting a light grey hue across its smooth leather base layer whereas its darker overlays proffer speckles of dried paint splatter. Extending the monochromatic outfit through the tongue and laces color-match to the vamp, bronze detailing illuminates the aforementioned tabs branding while a slight olive undertone indulges the suede midfoot Swooshes. Coordinated underfoot with a brown and taupe sole unit, the pair concludes with Nike spray paint cans centered amidst the greyed-out insoles.
While we anticipate further release details, enjoy official images of the Dunk High “Spray Paint” below in the meantime.
For more from underneath the NIKE Inc. banner, the women’s-exclusive Air Max 1 ’87 “Burgundy Crush” releases next Thursday.
