The Nike Dunk’s clad-leather tooling has proffered several disparately textured compositions since the silhouette’s introduction in the 80s. While suede-coated mudguards and overlays have most often been attributed to the model’s redesigns, the high-top’s latest ensemble indulges in a tan-coated canvas.
Rendering the latter springtime-associated texture along the silhouette’s base layer, tumbled leather overlays explore a wash of gold for a tonal upper. Further treating the wheat-tinted hue across its non-leather embellishments; its laces, tongue tabs and sock liner, the cracked leather midfoot Swooshes additionally come cured in the aforementioned neutral. While a simplified crisp white midsole matches with the tongue tabs’ brightened branding, a disparate choice of vibrant orange lays claim to the tread underfoot alongside the tucked-away insoles for an oddly chosen finish.
