As the newest member of Nike’s signature basketball family, Ja Morant has remained true to his eccentric style of play with an equally titular palette strewn across his inaugural silhouette. Recently, the South Carolina native’s Nike Ja 1 prepared its latest grade school-exclusive effort cured in vibrant “Mandarin Orange” hues.
Picking up on the ornate detailing that treated the model’s debut kids-exclusive release in May, a similar digitized print fills semi-translucent “Opti Yellow” and black mid-foot Swooshes. The latter pairing is reflected across the speckled Zoom Air cushioning system underfoot before being broken up by the yellow laces and jet-black collar lining and tongue trim. Elsewhere, the boastful ensemble dips its herringbone tread and tongue tab logo in a lively “Baltic Blue” that accents the fiery tones of the clad “Mandarin Orange” upper.
The Nike Ja 1 “Mandarin Orange” will release in grade school-exclusive sizing on August 12th for a retail price of $90. In the meantime, enjoy a detailed look at the pair below.
For more basketball-ready toolings from underneath the Nike Inc. umbrella, the Jordan Luka 2 “Space Hunter” has received a July 11th release date.
