Introduced as the brand’s first college team shoe in 1985, the Nike Dunk High’s “Be True To Your School” collection has remained timeless by nature and through successive retro installments. Instead of begetting yet another return to the familiar two-toned roster of colorways, the Beaverton brand has recently flipped the 38-year-old collection for a female-focused theme that expands beyond the synonymous Peter Moore design.
The “Be True To Her School” pack has thus far collected a duo of Air Force 1s and the Air More Uptempo for a range of women’s exclusive varsity-style color blockings. Marking the high-top trim’s first appearance in the all-new cohort, the Dunk High fancies the collection’s presiding pebble grain leather that mimics the textured feel of an indoor basketball. Placating the underlays at the vamp, mid-foot and upper collar, the latter are doused in a titular shade of watermelon that boasts even further clarity next to the burgundy-tinted smooth leather overlays. While a slightly aged cream tint consumes the midsole, the profile swooshes, laces and the various varsity-inspired Nike logos assume a contrasting crisp white finish.
Release details haven’t been revealed quite yet. In the meantime, the Nike Dunk High “Be True To Her School” can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.
In other news, the Jordan 1 “Celedon” releases on December 23rd for a retail price of $180 USD.
