Saucony has been able to establish a real foothold in the Y2K wave without much of a change in direction. Their on-the-trail bonafides are well-established, and while it’s certainly fortuitous that they’re back in vogue, the company has spotlighted their unabashed running styles in their catalog the whole way through. One of the best exemplars of that, the Saucony Progrid Omni 9 is getting a two-piece pack to showcase just that.
The “Disrupt” pack ends up being a very fitting name for the shoes that comprise it. Working backwards in their design, they both begin with very familiar sights, all-black and all-chrome running shoes. From there, however, shades of burgundy and teal literally “disrupt” that cohesion, with additional blue and red on either pair’s midsole helping to contextualize those choices. Further down, an aged midsole graces both editions, which alternate between a straight white and straight black outsole and gel units.
Both pairs in the Saucony Progrid Omni 9 “Disrupt” pack are available now on Saucony.com, both commanding $150 retail. Head below for detailed looks at the shoes and direct purchase links.
In a similar retro vein, the New Balance 550 received some notable new editions as it continues a dominant street style run.
