While we await a full unveiling of Teddy Santis’ MADE in USA FW24 collection, his first venture is taking the opportunity to showcase some product of their own. Forever intertwined, New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore just released their latest collaborative collection, printing three retro colorways on the New Balance 860v2. Reserve your pairs here; but prepare for a bit of a layoff before you’ll actually have them in hand.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s three distinct embraces of the Y2K wave ALD & New Balance so frequently parlay with. The white & green colorway is the most easily digestible, majoring in a palette that’s graced much of ALD’s previous catalog and continues to impress in complementary fashion. From there, the red & silver shows off vibrant reflective accents, highlighted by the patent-like toe cap that manages to steal the show even amid a comprehensively radiant profile. An off-white midsole underfoot sneaks in an extra dose of vintage sensibility.
Finally, the pair in blue & neon green embraces true running shoe styles, referencing the rampant highlighter tones so often seen on performance footwear of the 2000s. As always, co-branded detailing close out the trio of colorways; Aimé Leon Dore spell-out lands on the tongue, the insoles bear both imprints’ logos, and the ALD floral logo is pasted on the heel.
Again, all three of the New Balance 860v2 styles are listed here, each retailing for $150 and currently projected to ship out in February/March of 2025.
