Fakes are lame.  On one hand, having counterfeit merchandise shows the success and profitability of an industry.  Then again, any benefit from pirated goods prolongs development cycles and arguably sets our entire species back by reducing the incentive for innovation.  US Department of Homeland Security officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement seized a number of domains over the weekend, ranging from P2P sites to a huge group offering bootleg clothes, DVDs and other goods.  In total 82 sites got smacked-down, 12 of which belong to bogus shoe purveyors.  Shame on you fakers, and be sure to click the jump below to get the entire list so you can avoid getting tricked into buying their junk.  via CK//New York Times
