When adidas Originals showed off new colorways of their classic Tech Super runner last week, we were reminded of how major brands have enjoyed significant success with resurrecting some of their more obscure running OGs. Asics and New Balance have given their brands new relevance as fans learn to appreciate the value of a timeless design, and of course, Nike Sportswear has sprinted so far out in front in this category with plenty of heat still in the vaults. The latest obscure resurrection is the Nike Air Base II, pictured here with VNTG treatments that make this quintessentially early ’90s colorup appear as if it were on ice for those two decades.
