The Nike Air Structure Triax ’91, like many of Nike’s running shoe offerings from the turn of the decade, was noted for their ample and consistent use of color pops. Against white, grey, or black bases, the Swoosh selected a bright neon hue of red, blue, or green to add a visual element to their design, and that formula has proven successful in terms of getting eyeballs on their product. But for this upcoming release of the Air Structure Triax ’91, Nike is option for a colorless approach, adding a black, white, and grey colorway to the layered running shoe.
Seeing that the Air Structure already has an intricate design, it doesn’t need much help in gaining attention. The midsole boasts two different-sized Air windows, and the upper is a multi-dimensional stacking of leather, mesh, and suede layers. In fact, the design was so bold that Nike even added a tall ankle collar and made it into a basketball shoe back in 2009 called the Air Hoop Structure.
The Nike Air Structure Triax ’91 is scheduled to drop this season at Nike retailers worldwide; this black/grey/white and several others are expected. If you’re more interested in releases that are set in stone, check out the Air Max 90 “Spruce Lime” that’s dropping on 1/23.
