The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is a running sneaker first introduced in 2010 as an athletic sneaker under the “Bowerman Series.”

However, the shoes failed to perform up to expectations. The model was put on the shelf once again in 2019 as a result. Over the course of the following 2 years, absence truly made the heart grow fonder, and sneakerheads writ large began to find an appreciation for the retro runner.

With all that now in the rear view, 2022 can be viewed as the true starting point for the modern Nike Zoom Vomero 5. It has transitioned into the Nike mainline in earnest since then, now a widely accessible and widely worn sneaker. However, some drops, like the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Chrome” become sell-out events.
