House of Hoops Houston, Texas Grand Opening

Saturday, October 10th, 2009.  The day that the House of Hoops opens at Northline Mall in Houston, TX could very well be the last, considering the ridiculous fire hazard that’s sitting in there.  They really brought the heat for this opening, and while the Cherry Hill, NJ store got some love of its own with a duo of Philly Hyperizes for the occassion, when you get a look at the list of stuff they have in store, you might think somebody in Foot Locker corporate was from ‘Space City’.

The Astros and Rockets were both named for Johnson Space Center and each gets its own Hyperize, but that’s just the start.  Jordan Brand offers its own duo with the bred Air Jordan Force XIII (AJF 13) and a brand new Air Jordan 1 High Strap in white with navy and red accents.  Rounding out this apparently incomplete list is a huge run of reissues from earlier HoH-exclusives including, but not limited to (deep breath): Hypermax Tennis Ball Pack, Reggie Miller Air Total Max Uptempo PE, Air Penny II Retro in black and copper, Zoom Kobe IVs for Lower Merion and Rice, Zoom LeBron Soldier IIIs for Christ the King and SVSM, the Phi Slamma Jamma Big Nike High and the Hyperize Decades Pack (whew!).  Check out photos of these tape-cutting kicks in just that order and if you’re in H-town, head over to Northline and check it out.

Northline mall is no longer a mall it’s now called Northline Commons(which is shopping strip) and its about time that they put a house of hoops in houston but I never thought that it would be in Footlocker @ Northline I always thought that the house of hoops would be in the Houston Galleria but oh well @ least my trip to NL Footlocker is only 10 mins away from where I live.

This was our 3rd visit yesterday to this store. overall appearance of the store is good. All 3 visits, service has been bad, twice we were helped by Rachel, very unfriendly and almost rude. she was not happy to see us and appeared to be aggravated by us trying on shoes. on all our visits we did end up buying a shoe, just like we did yesterday. the visit to your place in The Galleria continues to leave a bad taste. treat customer right nomatter what they look like. if my child would not want a shoe from there, i would never go to this store.
