Whereas LeBron’s refer to his first rec league team from back in grade school, Kobe was made a man on June 24th 1996, drafted by the then Charlotte Hornets. This Nike Zoom Kobe V is a clear sendup of the oldschool Hornets unis, and the reptile skin on the tongue especially, takes on a sort of hive-ish appearance when viewed in this context.
