One of the biggest Jordan stories of 2011 came in mid-February, when we learned of a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration between two of the most iconic figureheads of the sneaker game. In celebration of the Jordan Brand WINGS for the Future Program, Jordan Brand teamed up with world-renown artist Dave White to re-create the original Air Jordan 1 silhouette in a patriotic mosaic of colors and graphics. The finished product resonated inspiration while highlighting Dave White’s signature style of artistry, with a gold-tipped toe, signature paint splatter marks, red brush-stroke stripes on the heel, and stars dotted on the upper.
