Nike Running is at the peak of its lightweight performance game with many models incorporating some combination of Flywire, Hyperfuse and/or LunarLon, but even those cutting edge technologies haven’t rivaled the above pictured model when it comes to sheer daintiness. The Nike Mayfly comes in at a shockingly slight 4.8oz, but this new edition might be ever so slightly heavier thanks to the tan leather sockliner added to give this mint green edition a premium feel. They still feature the same funky brick road/tarsal anatomy pattern featured on the ‘Bowerman Series’ debut from summer 2010, but the effect is decidedly different in this new design and should invite some more casual buyers as well as those who want to test out the Mayfly’s lightweight credentials.
