At the start of the Holiday 2011 season, the book on the Zoom Kobe VI was officially closed and news of the Zoom Kobe VII began making headlines on our front pages. For the VII, the interchangeable Attack Fast and Attack Strong was the keynote upgrade from ‘six’ to ‘seven’, with the dual-grade tiered system adding a fresh new take on Zoom Kobe VII. However, information regarding a third version, an ‘Elite’, left us curious; what would constitute this exclusive title and more importantly, a $200 price-tag?
Here’s a first look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VII Elite; at first glance, it appears just like the Zoom Kobe VII, but it’s really more than what meets the eye. It’s got a redone snake-skin upper consisting of aggressive hexagonal scales (reminiscent of the Zoom Kobe VI), a carbon fiber heel counter, and full-length Zoom Air. Call it a ‘fully-loaded’ version of the Kobe VII if you’d like, but with these strapped on your feet, you’ll be in the most comfortable and luxurious ride of your life. Full length zoom? I dont get it attack fast already is a full length right? Both forefoot and heel.
Looks like remix Kobe VI. Full length zoom air? HA! highly doubt it. I saw that thin layer of forefoot zoom air in the VII. That's not enough cushioning! It needs to be at least 10MM in thickness. not that 6MM. Not enough cushioning. Full length what? 6MM? It needs to be like forefoot 10MM all the way to heel at 14-16MM. that's REAL cushioning and responsiveness. Zoom air is low enough to ground. I don't think those numbers are too high off the ground.

Execpt for the gold swoosh and carbon fiber skin like heel support, it remains trash to me. Instead of 'elite', they should rename this 'NFL Special' coz of those small football imprints all over.

full length zoom is a beast! (anyone who owns aj 12's understand what i mean) with that being said this is a TRAP clearly..... nike testing the waters to see whos gonna cough up dat dough....and when it happens all similar releases will be around $200 smh i wouldn't do it.....

this look clean as hell. there's a all white and gold one too. i've seen the lebron elites and y'all in for a surprise! plus, the lebrons i think have a $270 tag on them. expensive as hell.

I remember when Nike made shoes with full length zoom air for $125. Remember the zoom turbines or the zoom 2k3's.? Talk about inflation.

What extra tech you talking about? Flywire? You can't tell me placing flywire on shoe can raise the price an extra $75..Flywire came out in 2008..all the research and development has been paid for by now..

these look average at best the colorway could have been done a lot better IMO, and from what weve seen the early lebron elite samples those are gonna be horrific looking

I think that if Kobe's shoes become popular one day for reselling and retroing, THESE would be ones to have. They make so many damn schemes though, it's rediculous.

i'm loving the black & gold combination. and this scale upper is sooo much better than that vertical stripe thing they had going on with the others. not sure if they're worth the $200 price tag though.
