In his Sneaker News exclusive interview last week, Nike Skateboarding superstar Paul Rodriguez confided that he’s awed by fellow Swoosh signature athletes like Jordan, LeBron, Kobe, Tiger and Federer. P-Rod likened his ascension to winning the lottery, but instead of a manatee tank controlling the output, Rodriguez reminded us that the R&D at Nike’s disposal easily surpasses most of the smaller brands, combined. That level of detail is readily apparent in the new Nike P-Rod 6, a LunarLon-cushioned lowtop that shows how far this series (and skate aesthetics in general) have come since the original arrived in 2006.
