Ah, what could have been. Leading up to their Olympic appearance adidas’ two biggest spokesmen in the NBA suffered a couple of unfortunate injuries, pretty much dashing their hopes of competing on the international stage and stagnating the Olympic sneaker game just a bit with the Three Stripes withdrawn from the race. That’s not to say that they didn’t have colorways waiting in the wings, you’ve already seen what sort of gold medal flavored flair was planned for the adidas adiZero Rose 773 and now we’re giving you a look at the adidas adiPower Howard 3 crafted in that same light. Click through to see all the photos of this USA looking pair that sports some gold in there as well which is starting to pop up at adidas retailers.

He didn't even get a gold medal....his bumbass wasn't on the olympic team. Why does he have a gold medal shoe?
@DanielMcNatt he was supposed to be lest you forget about his back surgery. He is the best center in the league.
I'm with @newsouth912 on this with asking why?! this would be more appropriately dubbed as adidas adiPower Howard 3 “Lakers”
why is adidas making gold medal shoes? That's like making a finals version or MVP version of a shoe when the athlete accomplished neither
...they look like they've heavy.
Love them adidas they are actually using better metallic gold than Nike and Jordans with out the outrageous price
